Kennel & Daycare Attendant

The ideal candidate must love animals, have no fear of new situations and must be able to work in well with others or alone. They must have a keen interest in learning about animal behaviour, adapt well to changing environments and tasks, is adept at seeing what needs to be done and doing it and isn’t afraid to get dirty.

You will be expected to maintain, clean, exercise and monitor kennel and daycare guests. You must enjoy working with clients, be comfortable with large groups of dogs, demonstrate leadership, willing to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and can work with minimal supervision and able to sell products and services.

This rewarding position is for a dependable, patient, and above all professional person. Looking to fulfill part time hours with opportunities for full time. Our hours are 6:30am to 6:30pm and there is shift flexibility available.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

-Having a ability to communicate effectively with others.

-Using and operating point of sale system.

-In/out taking of boarding/daycare dogs.

-Cleaning and caring for kennels and yards.

-Brushing and bathing dogs

-Serving clients beyond expectations and forge strong bonds with clients and their pets.

-Input update and care of customer cards.

-Maintaining compassion and professionalism in high stress situations.

-Have the ability to read or to learn too manage canine behaviour.

-Provide for the mental and physical welfare of all animals in our care, monitoring their well being, and maintaining behavioural responses within the kennel.
