Funding & Grants Project Coordinator – Part Time

Position Details
Reporting to the Funding Lead on the Board of Directors, you are responsible for the day-to-day and long-term management of grant funding initiatives and opportunities, from initial identification through to post-award grants administration. In addition, the Funding & Grants Project Coordinator develops, implements, and manages tools, standards, and procedures to facilitate funding development, build grant writing capability, and streamline funding administration processes across the organization.

Lead the grant writing process for Skyline Dance Studio

Collaborate with Lead on the Board of Directors for the long-term coordination of grant funding opportunities and initiatives

Research, identify and evaluate potential funding opportunities

Develop and implement a multi-year grant strategy, and manage proposal writing

Oversee general and post-award grants administration
-
Cultivate and nurture new and ongoing relationships with funding agency staff, community stakeholders, and government representatives

Implement and manage tools, standards, and procedures to facilitate funding development

Build grant writing capability and streamline funding administration processes across the organization

Analyze organization to determine strategic priorities for focus on grant opportunities

Develop external relationships to leverage funding and grant opportunities

Manage tracking of grant submissions

Ensures that all grant proposals align with Skyline Dance Studio priorities and strategic plan
Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree/diploma in communications, public relations, English or equivalent with the following skills, experience, and abilities:

3-5 years experience in a similar role

Experience developing successful grant submissions for a non-profit organization is an asset

Experience as a professional writer with superior writing, editing and communication skills

Deep knowledge of grant funding policies and procedures for Federal, Provincial and Municipal grant programs

Strong knowledge of grant-writing strategies

Strong attention to detail

Ability to develop and produce concise and complete grant applications and other proposals

Ability to research and identify relevant grant opportunities

Database management skills or experience with tracking data

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the project management experience to juggle multiple priorities

Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, prepare project budgets and forecasts

Ability to navigate online content and leverage for research

Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively
